CMA CGM is the third largest shipping liner company in the world, with approximately $ 15.1 billion of revenues in 2008. 17 vessels in GSL's on-the-water and contracted fleet are chartered to CMA CGM.

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd (ZISS) is a global liner operator, ranked 18th in the world by operated capacity. ZISS is a subsidiary of Israel Corporation, which is publicly traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. During 2008, Israel Corporation reported revenues of approximately $ 19.8 billion. Upon delivery, two of GSL's newbuildings will be chartered to ZISS.

One of GSL's principal objectives is to selectively expand its charterer base over time. Management's experience and understanding of the sector, together with its relationships within the industry, will enable GSL to capitalize on market opportunities.
